Quick update

So it's been 2 weeks since I last updated the blog; what's been going on? Well, fitness-wise, I've had some great runs, some truly awful runs, and a couple of tough-but-good personal training sessions with the weights. I've had a few more rest days than usual, too, but all in all, doing okay. And mentally? Well, that's been a wee rollercoaster, as usual. I'm doing okay though now; my sleep patterns have been all over the place but are now settling, and basically, I'm trying to take care of myself a bit more. It's going pretty well. :)

I've gained rather a lot of weight this past couple of months, in all honesty, and need to address it before it becomes a serious issue. I'm using a bit of time at the moment to plan stuff, and get excited about things again, which is pretty cool - I'll no doubt come back to "Plans" as a blog topic at some point!! :) In the meantime, there's about 10 days until the Southside Six 16 mile race, and then I'm doing another half marathon in early December, which I'm actually looking forward to. Then, a few week's complete rest to end the year, under orders of my trainer. Woo!! Lots of work to do before then, though. I'm ready for it! (Well, I'm not ready at all for the SS6, but fuckit, bring it on.)

Think I'm going to sign up for the Sport Relief "Swimathon" which is in late March 2014. Having only learned to swim fairly recently, the most I've ever managed is 1km (breast stroke, sloooow), and I'm trying to decide which distance to sign up for - either the 1.5km or 2.5km challenge. (I'm getting close to just tossing a coin at this rate, lol.) It should be a good challenge to train for, amongst other plans I'm formulating. Like I say, though, I'll come back to this topic another time. x
