So, that's 7 improvements this month (quite MASSIVE improvements, actually), and just one 'fail' (my trainer told me he was really impressed with how much I pushed myself on the rower anyway). Running that 1km was really, really tough, and it's a PB by lots, which was very satisfying. The point of the fitness test is to do all of the aspects one straight after the other, without a rest in between (aside from the time taken to move to the next machine/station) - hence the fact that my plank is less than a minute - I'm normally utterly shattered by then, lol.
Despite being Queen of the Lobster-Faced People, again, I was so proud of myself, and Craig told me how proud he was too. We went for a chat, and he told me how impressed he was with my consistency and dedication lately. He told me in January we'll be starting a NEW monthly fitness test, to make it harder, thus something to really work on over 2012. For example, he said, the run part will probably be 2.4km (1½ miles) instead of 1km... I'm a bit scared, I've yet to actually run 2.4km without walking, and when I've ran 2km (current PB is 13:40) I've wanted to collapse afterwards, but I guess this is exactly his point. The fitness test needs to be a real challenge.
I'm totally excited. In a weird way.
